For the holidays I decided to treat myself to a new essence since my Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence was empty. (Which I totally recommend for a starter essence that is inexpensive and really great!) Since I have dry skin, and using retinol / BHA from my dermatologist for closed comedones really rips up my skin- I decided to try this hydrating essence.
Packaging: Comes in a classy glass bottle with a hygienic dropper that measures out the amount for you. The bottle itself sold it and made me want to buy it honestly.
Information: Recommended for dry, aging, and normal skin types. Contains 50% Black Bee Propolis Extract that acts as an anti-inflammatory while sealing in moisture in the skin. 20% Royal Jelly Extract stimulates collagen production, anti bacterial properties, as well as being jam packed with vitamins and minerals. 10% Royal Black Honey Extract contains aged honey which concentrates it in addition to binding moisture to the skin.
Effects & Impressions: I felt that incorporating it into my morning and night routine allowed me to no longer need to use my emulsion or sleeping pack as much in the winter, so far I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and have not needed either for hydrated, supple skin. I found that I only needed what the dropper dispensed which isn’t a lot. It really made my skin super hydrated for the majority of the day, and when I use it at night, my skin is still moisturized the next morning when I go to start my morning routine. I found that it plumped my skin and helped it from getting inflamed from my acne products. I love my Snail essence but I’m glad I made the switch to this one! Not sure what kind I’ll try next, but I may end up going back to this one…. I think its a good price for the amount you get and the amount you end up using, plus if your skin is not very dry you could skip the additional steps in your moisturizing routine, making it a good choice for those who want an easy routine or cannot afford multiple products.

These masks have a high end type of feel with the type of cotton and packaging.
I am interested in these masks mostly because they have interesting types that you don’t see often in masks like Horse Fat, Birds Nest and Jeju Tangerine, Although these unconventional types may turn some people off.
I figured I’d add this last one as a hydrogel variety pack as they are usually VERY expensive and usually only come in one type.
What makes hydrogel so great?! This gelatinous sheet mask alternative carries higher amounts of essence to be absorbed into the skin. They are usually higher end and pricier but the benefits of a gel mask are usually better than traditional cotton or cellulose sheet masks with more absorption and nutrient delivery.
These indulgent masks have a 5 star rating on amazon so they are worth giving a shot for a super pampering session once a season!
Are you in love with sheet masks too? Let me know your favorite down below in the comments!!
Korean Skin Care Essentials: These are part of my current skincare routine! In order of use, too!
Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Tissue, These are hands down the best makeup wipes I’ve ever used. They have a light healthy scent and one wipe cleans off all of my makeup. Claims to have antioxidants and vitamins to help skin, but they are seriously amazing wipes.
Benton Snail Bee Essence, I tried this essence because I was new to Korean skincare and it was relatively inexpensive compared to others. I personally don’t like the smell, but it has snail and bee venom in it which maybe thats the smell. The bee venom firms the face. If smell doesn’t bother you its a great product for the price ($20)
Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet (16 Combo Pack), These aren’t the best sheet masks in the world, but they are super affordable and get the job done. I hope to check out some more renowned brands in the future! There are some weird ones in this collections like Vegetable Placenta and bee venom but also some fun ones like wine! I think this is a great intro to face masks for people to try.
The Face Shop Jeju Tangerine Sleeping Mask, I like to use this in the fall and winter when my skin needs extra moisture! It smells so good and in the morning my skin is so plump from absorbing the mask over night. It comes with a large amount of product too which is good because it seems to be out of stock everywhere I look.
Korean Beauty Lust List: These are products I’d love to get my hands on to try next!
Etude House Sleeping Pack Bubble Tea: Black Tea, I really want to try this next once my current sleeping mask is finished. It has cute tapioca inspired hydrating pearls and the packaging is adorable. There are three different flavors, green tea, black tea and strawberry. It just looks like such a fun product!
Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint, I’ve seen quite a few reviews of this product and would love to try it and recommend it to my lip tint friends. The packaging is a cute wine bottle and there seems to be a variety of colors. There is also apparently a nice scent and I’m glad that they have small sample sizes too!
Skinfood Peach Sake Toner and Emulsion, I’m currently using a traditional american toner and I know that Korean ones are gentler on the skin and overall have a different purpose. Korean toners are applied similarly to moisturizers and it preps the skin to absorb moisture which is why its after the cleanser step. This one has gotten a lot of love on blogs so I think it would be a good starting point.
